Welcome to the Show

Hello fellow dog lovers, trainers, and enthusiasts!

I figured my first blog post should be an introduction to myself, my training life, and most importantly, my pets!

So let's get this show on the road!

Hi! My name is Becky. Like most peoplewho got their star in the animal world, we had Pets when I was a child. My family lived on a small-ish hobby farm that had horses, cows, chickens, cats and of course our farm dog. As we moved around and grew, my family was never without a dog for long. Actually i think the longest time we were without a pet was the 4 years betweenthe passing of our 18 year old family dog, Rudy, and my adopting my first personal dog Raziel in June 28th, 2013, who has been my working partner and constant companion for the past 11 years.

I've been in the pet industry since mid 2012, and a trainer since mid 2014. The majority of my working career has been spent working for others, and while I loved where I worked, my coworkers, and the management team of which I was a part of for the last two years, I felt it was time for me to go on my own and take the lead on my own stage.

I've trained and worked with 1000's of dogs over my career, and every single one has taught me something new, that helped shape my philosophy and training style to what it is today. I specialize in reactivity, confidence building, socialization and exposure, and puppy training.

I've mentioned Raziel already, my 11 year old Mutt, who has been with me since she was 8 weeks, through thick and thin. My first training partner, the reason I became a trainer, and the reason that helping dogs and their owners who struggle with reactivity is so close to my heart.

Scythe is my 2 year old German Shepherd, who I've had since he was 5 months old. My socialization for puppies buddy, my behaviour rehab partner, and my current demo dog. He's been a joy to train and I can't wait to see what we'll do together.

My goal as a trainer is to help repair strained relationships between dogs and their owners, create solid stable puppies, and make sure that everyone has fun along the way!

This blog will be filled with tips, tricks, information, and stories of success and hilarity.

So welcome to Eidolon Dog Training, Ideal Training for your Ideal Dog.

Happy Training,

Becky
